Masterclasses and Workshops

learn from experts and buils your skills

Whether you want to improve your technique, try something new or simply be inspired by others, our masterclasses and workshops are a great place to start. With expert guidance, personalised feedback and the chance to explore a wide range of musical styles, they’re a brilliant way to learn, grow and enjoy making music — all for free.

What is a Masterclass?

A masterclass is a chance to learn directly from an experienced musician or expert in their field. Typically, a musician plays or works on a piece of music and receives guidance, ideas and feedback to help them develop their skills. You can learn so much from seeing this process in action; for example, discovering new approaches, picking up useful tips and hearing wonderful music along the way.

How to Take Part

There are two ways to get involved:

Perform and receive feedback. If you’d like to develop your skills, you can take part in a session, work directly with an expert and get personalised advice to help you progress.
Observe from the audience. You don’t have to perform to benefit! You’re very welcome to sit back, enjoy the music and learn through observation

All our masterclasses and workshops are completely free, and everyone is welcome. Keep an eye on our upcoming events to see what’s coming up and find a session that interests you.

Our Partnership with the Royal College of Music

We’re particularly proud of our partnership with the Royal College of Music, one of the world’s leading conservatoires.

Through this partnership, a selection of their outstanding students lead masterclasses, sharing their knowledge, talent and passion for music. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn from the next generation of exceptional musicians.

Whether you’re keen to take part or simply enjoy listening, our masterclasses and workshops are a chance to discover something new, find inspiration and share in the joy of music.
